The 15 week challenge is sew something with woven fabric. This one isn’t much of a challenge to me, mostly because I sew lots of woven patterns all the time (80% of my sewing is for woven patterns). But I did step out of my wheel house sewing a Bella Sunshine Designs Charlotte Dress in the top length
Sweet Pea picked out this lovely unicorn fabric a friend sent me. So I knew the top would end up super fun for her and would look beautiful with the style it had and the vibrant fabric Sweet Pea picked out.
This dress has a placket (which I am not a super big fan of though the directions in the pattern are fabulous).
It offers a delicate cut out on the back which I opted to use vintage bone buttons for.
As usual, BSD did not disappoint with how the top turned out.
The length of the top version hits in a very nice place to have Baby Cakes wear shorts or pants. Since it still feels like winter here in Vermont, we still need pants so we paired it with the Sansa Pants.
It’s love for the little princess and she has already asked for another one!
