This week for Sew Something Brown, I got to sew up some cuddly pajamas for the Sweet Pea. Pop on over to my post on the Winter Wear Designs September Hack-a-Thon Blog tour to find out about the top I made to use for her pajama top. This post is about the new release from Rad Patterns Savannah Smiles Pattern.
This pattern comes in mommy and me sizing but I opted for making a pair for Sweet Pea as pajama pants (I am sure I will sew a pair for me some time this winter too). Sizing is generous. The pants are a drop crotch slim through the knee fit making one think almost of MC Hammer pants of earlier years. The pattern release price is $7.00 for the momma version or kids version (increasing to $10.00 after the release sale), and $12.60 for the bundle ($18.00 after release). Sweet Pea really loves that she can roll around and has plenty of room for movement in these pants, and I super love that she is going to get tons of wear out of them!
This floral double brushed poly came from Hobby Lobby and allowed me to fit the theme of the 52 Week Sewing Challenge since there are little brown flecks. No way was I getting away with something predominantly brown but the brown in flowers works- right?
